Tanzania invites Chinese firms to invest in industry, mining, and renewable energy sectors

HANGZHOU: TANZANIA’S Minister for Industry and Trade, Judith Kapinga, has invited Chinese investors to explore opportunities in the country, citing sectors such as industry, mining, agriculture, and renewable energy.
Kapinga appealed during a visit to Hangzhou, China, saying the two countries have historical ties and cooperation in politics and development, and it’s time to boost economic relations.
“Tanzania has a large market of 64 million people and access to markets in East Africa and Southern Africa. We welcome Chinese investors to come and do business with us,” Kapinga said.
She expressed confidence that this will be a significant step in strengthening economic ties and promoting trade between the two countries.
