Tanzania embarks on diplomatic efforts to attract Brazilian investors

BRAZIL: THE Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ngwaru Maghembe, has arrived in Brazil for an official working visit, where he held talks with Tanzania’s Ambassador to Brazil, John Simbachawene.
The discussions focused on a range of diplomatic issues, with particular emphasis on strengthening the implementation of economic diplomacy to attract Brazilian investment into Tanzania.
During the visit, Dr Maghembe underscored the role of international cooperation in driving economic development, noting that Brazil remains a strategic partner in key productive and investment sectors. He highlighted the significant potential to expand trade and investment flows through targeted partnerships aligned with Tanzania’s priority economic sectors.

He is also expected to lead Tanzania’s delegation to the Second Session of Political Consultations between Tanzania and Brazil. The meeting aims to deepen diplomatic relations and broaden cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade, investment, agriculture, livestock, and tourism, as part of a broader development diplomacy strategy.
