Tanzania draws a track road for beauties seeking a Miss World ticket

DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIAN girls wishing to represent the country as Miss World Tanzania have been encouraged to cultivate a spirit of serving communities with love, passion, and respect.
Briefing the media in Dar es Salaam today, Miss World Tanzania Information Officer Hassan Suleiman said the crown deserves a person with qualities of love and respect.
His advice comes ahead of the Miss World Tanzania coronation ceremony scheduled at The SuperDome in Masaki, Dar es Salaam, on April 19, 2026.
The winner of Miss World Tanzania will earn the opportunity to represent the nation at the 75th anniversary of Miss World to be staged later this year under the theme ‘Beauty With a Purpose.’
“There are many young girls out there whose dream is to be Miss World Tanzania one day…to them, they have to practice love and respect to realize their dreams,” he said.

Commenting on the upcoming big event, he said preparations are on gas pedal as they want to stage a memorable beauty pageant grand finale that has never been seen before.
Currently, we are still at the phase of searching for beauty pageants who will enter the Miss World Tanzania camp once the exercise is complete.
“To achieve this purpose, the searching exercise is being done in eight zones, which are Dar es Salaam Zone, Higher Learning Zone, Eastern Zone, Central Zone, Northern Zone, Southern Zone, Lake Zone, and Zanzibar Zone,” he said.
Furthermore, he pointed out that under the visionary leadership of Miss World Tanzania National Director, Mustafa Hassanali, they are ready to bring tangible transformations in the beauty pageant industry in the country.
“Here, people should understand that Miss World Tanzania and Miss Tanzania are two different events…this is the first time for Miss World Tanzania to take place in the country,” Suleiman clarified.
