Tanzania, China agree to broaden economic ties in trade, industrialization, and technology sectors

DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA and China have stepped up efforts to expand economic cooperation, with both countries identifying trade, investment, infrastructure, industrialisation and technology as priority areas for deeper collaboration.
This was reached in a discussion between Tanzania’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, and the Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania, Chen Mingjian, as the two sides explored ways to strengthen bilateral relations.

The leaders also discussed measures to further enhance diplomatic ties while broadening economic cooperation to unlock new investment and business opportunities.

Moreover, they underscored the importance of advancing cooperation in key sectors, saying stronger collaboration would accelerate development and deliver greater benefits to both countries.
The meeting also highlighted the need to preserve the long-standing friendship and strategic partnership between Tanzania and China, which has continued to serve as a foundation for mutually beneficial cooperation.
