Tanzania, Belarus sign MoU to enhance business ties by connecting their entrepreneurs

DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA and Belarus have signed two key Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between private sector institutions from both countries.
The signing ceremony was held in Dar es Salaam during the visit of Belarus Foreign Affairs Minister, Maxim Ryzhenkov, signalling growing momentum in bilateral trade and investment relations.
Under the arrangements, the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) and the Tanzania National Chamber of Commerce (TNCC), entered into separate agreements with Belarus’ National Export Promotion Centre of Belarus aimed at boosting private sector collaboration.
According to information from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, the MoU between TPSF and NEPC focuses on strengthening business linkages by connecting entrepreneurs, institutions and investors from both countries, opening up new economic opportunities.

Additionally, the agreement outlines cooperation in market information exchange, investment promotion, organisation of business forums and capacity-building initiatives to enhance innovation, skills and competitiveness in the global market.
Moreover, the ministry stated that the agreement between TNCC and NEPC is geared towards promoting direct trade between Tanzanian and Belarusian companies.
The two sides agreed to deepen collaboration through joint market research, improved information sharing and expansion of export and import opportunities to increase trade efficiency and competitiveness.
The latest deals underscore a shared commitment by Tanzania and Belarus to leverage private sector partnerships in driving economic diplomacy and unlocking new avenues for growth.
