Tanzania beckons 100 delegates for LATF meeting in Arusha

DODOMA: AHEAD of the 14th Lusaka Agreement Meeting in Arusha, Tanzanian Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr. Pindi Chana has held discussions with the Secretariat of the Lusaka Agreement regarding the 14th Meeting of the Lusaka Agreement Task Force (LATF) governing Council to be convened in Arusha from May 6 to 8 this year.
Speaking during the meeting held at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism offices in Dodoma today, April 30, 2025, Chana said Tanzania is prepared to receive more than 100 guests from member states and invited countries.
Adding, the Director of the Lusaka Agreement Secretariat, Mr. Edward Phiri, said preparations for the meeting have been completed and that various leaders from Lusaka Agreement member countries have already confirmed their attendance.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Natural Resources), Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, CP Benedict Wakulyamba; the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Tourism), Mr. Nkoba Mabula; the Director of Wildlife, Dr. Alexander Lobora; along with senior officials from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism.
