Tanzania awards top-performing Immigration officers for July 2026

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Commissioner of Immigration in charge of the Citizenship and Passport Division, Mr Ally Mtanda, has commended officers and staff of the division at the Kurasini Immigration Office for their outstanding performance, while presenting certificates and awards to top-performing employees for July 2026.
CI Mtanda presented the certificates and awards on behalf of the Commissioner General of Immigration, Dr Anna Makakala, to officers and personnel who demonstrated commitment, professionalism, and excellence in carrying out their responsibilities.
Those recognized for the month included Assistant Commissioner of Immigration (ACI) Othuman Chumu Makame and Sergeant Tajiti Fortunatus Mallya.
The monthly recognition and reward program for outstanding performers within the Citizenship and Passport Division is aimed at promoting accountability, improving work efficiency, and strengthening the delivery of services to the public.

Speaking during the event, CI Mtanda said the Department will continue to recognize and appreciate employees who perform their duties effectively, while appropriate measures will be taken against those who fail to meet the expected standards.
โThose who perform well will receive various rewards, while those who do not perform effectively will be held accountable in accordance with the Departmentโs guidelines and procedures,โ said CI Mtanda.
He further urged officers and staff in the division to continue carrying out their duties with discipline, professionalism, and patriotism, while improving service delivery through greater efficiency and accountability.
The initiative is part of the Immigration Departmentโs efforts to promote a culture of excellence and encourage employees to continue providing productive and quality services to the public.
