Tanzania approves Defence Ministry’s 3.64tri/- budget

DODOMA: THE Tanzanian Parliament has today, May 20, 2025, approved a budget of 3.645tril/- for the Ministry of Defence and National Service for the 2025/2026 financial year.

Out of the total amount, 3.327tri/-  has been allocated for recurrent expenditure, while 318.8bn/- has been set aside for development projects.

The Minister of Defence and National Service, Dr. Stergomena Tax, said her ministry will continue to work diligently in the interest of the nation and implement the key priorities presented in the budget estimates. She further emphasized their commitment to honor the trust placed in them by Parliament.
