Tanzania announces scholarships at high-tech varsities
The World Bank (WB) has granted Tanzania funds for the implementation of the Digital Tanzania Project (DTP) scholarship program for the year 2023/2024.
According to an advertisement appearing in the Daily News dated on 17th November, 2022, the Ministry of Information, Communication and Information Technology (ICT) states that funds have been channeled through the docket and will be used to fund scholarships for ICT cadre training programs.
“The fund is intended to cover the cost of attaining Master Degrees at High Tech Universities worldwide,” the ministry said.
The ministry further encouraged those with eligible qualifications to submit their applications through a link provided in the ministry’s website.
A deadline will be on the 30th of Dec this year, the Ministry Stated.
The Digital Tanzania Project (DTP) is a project being implemented by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) in collaboration with the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance (PO-PSMGG).
The objective of the Project is to increase access to high quality internet services for government and citizens and to improve the government’s capacity to deliver digital public services.
In this regard, the Project is geared towards accelerating the digital economy in Tanzania.
