DODOMA: THE Chief Executive Officer of the Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS), Engineer Mohamed Besta, has urged drivers to respect and adhere to the temporary road signs placed at the Kintinku-Bahi overpass.
This measure aims to protect the road infrastructure and the bridge while the process of installing permanent signs is still underway.
Engineer Besta made this statement on Saturday, March 22, 2025, during his inspection visit to the road and the overpass located at the junction of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) in Bahi District, Dodoma Region. He stated that the bridge has been completed and is now in use, emphasizing the importance of road users following the guidelines to prevent damage to the infrastructure.

Furthermore, he noted that after completing the bridge construction, TANROADS is now focusing on building an underpass at the SGR junction in Mkonze, Dodoma. This project aims to further improve transportation and reduce traffic congestion in the area.
Engineer Besta emphasized that the construction of the underpass began on March 21, 2025, and is expected to be completed on time to enhance railway and road transport connectivity. He urged drivers to exercise caution and adhere to road safety instructions to avoid accidents and infrastructure damage.
