TAMISEMI ordered to urgently engage banks in issuing the council loans     

DODOMA: THE National Assembly Speaker, Mussa Zungu, has directed the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (TAMISEMI), Prof Riziki Shemdoe, to urgently engage banks issuing the 10 percent council loans to ensure entrepreneurs access the funds without unnecessary delays.

He gave the directives earlier on Friday at the ongoing parliament session in Dodoma, noting that many grassroots business groups have been struggling for years to secure the loans despite qualifying.

The Speaker emphasized the need to streamline procedures and remove bureaucratic obstacles.

Additionally, he urged the government to review strict lending conditions to widen access, particularly for youth and community-based groups.
