TANZANIA’s national football team, Taifa Stars, and Young Africans are the nominees of the 2023 national team of the year and club of the year CAF awards.
In the national team category, Taifa Stars will battle against Cape Verde, Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritania, Morocco, Senegal, Namibia and Mozambique.
In the club of the year category, Yanga will compete against CR Belouizdad (Algeria), USM Alger (Algeria), ASEC Mimosas (Cote D’Ivoire) and Al Ahly (Egypt).
Others are Raja Casablanca (Morocco), Wydad Casablanca (Morocco), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa) Marumo Gallants (South Africa) and Esperance (Tunisia).
This is another milestone that Tanzania football is growing as two envoys have been picked for the lucrative reward.
According to the supplied information from CAF, the awards will he held in Morocco on December 11th.
