Taifa Stars jet off for FIFA Series
AZERBAIJAN: ALL is set as Taifa Stars leave the country today for Azerbaijan where they will engage in two friendly matches to complement 2024 FIFA Series.
The 23-man summoned squad for the friendlies started camp on Sunday under the tutelage of the Interim Coach Hemed Suleiman ‘Morocco’, who will be in full charge of the lined-up signal testing matches.
The country’s envoys will launch their campaign by facing Bulgaria on March 22nd before hosting Mongolia on March 25th and this is the first time for Tanzania to play friendly encounters against the two sides.
Other games will see hosts Azerbaijan taking on Mongolia on March 22nd while on March 25th, Azerbaijan will lock horns against Bulgaria.
According to a statement released recently by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), the envoys are expected back in the country on March 27th.
The full assembled squad consists of goalkeepers; Aishi Manula (Simba), Aboutwaleeb Mshery (Young Africans) and Kwesi Kawawa (Syrianska FC, Sweden). Defenders are Bakari Mwamnyeto (Yanga), Ibrahim Bacca (Yanga), Lusajo Mwaikenda (Azam), Haji Mnoga (Aldershot Town, England), Mohamed Hussein (Simba), Novatus Dismas (Shakhtar Donetsk, (Ukraine), Kennedy Juma (Simba) and Miano Danilo (Villena CF, Spain).
At the miedfielders: there are Feisal Salum (Azam), Mudathir Yahya (Yanga), Moris Micheal (RFK Novi Sad, Serbia), Himid Mao (Tela’ea El Gaish SC, Egypt), Yahya Zaydi (Azam) and Tarryn Allarakhia (Wealdstone, England). Strikers: are Clement Mzize (Yanga), Simon Msuva (Alnajmah FC, Saudi Arabia), Kibu Denis (Simba), Abdul Suleiman (Azam), Ben Starkie (IIkestone Town, England) and Charles M’mombwa (Macarthur FC, Australia).
