TAGCO MEETING: PM Majaliwa calls for patriotism

Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa has officially opened the 18th working meeting of Tanzania Association for Government Communication Officers – (TAGCO) in Dar es Salaam on Monday and urged public institution communication experts to throw the weight behind patriotism.
Speaking at the event held at the Julius Nyerere International Conference Center (JNICC) in Dar es Salaam, the Premier called upon all government communication officers to put the country’s interests first when disseminating public information.
“Patriotism should be your top priority, integrity, freedom and the interests of the country…also add creativity in pushing government agendas to the public and do not wait for the work to be done by other journalists,” PM Majaliwa said.
During the opening of the well-attended event, the Prime Minister also launched a special magazine of the two years of President Samia Suluhu Hassan in power and the sixth phase government achievements.
At the event, the officers awarded President Samia Suluhu Hassan in recognition of her contributions in improving the communication and information sector in the country.
