Tabora United, KMCseal first wins

TABORA United and Kinondoni Municipal Council (KMC) made a big leap in the Premier League’s standings after securing victories in their third round games on Friday.

Tabora United who defeated Tanzania Prisons 3-1 at Ally Hassan Mwinyi Stadium and the victory elevated them to the sixth position in the standings while KMC also climbed to the seventh position after their 2-1 win over JKT Tanzania at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Before their yesterday’s win, Tabora United occupied the 14th place with one point while KMC were glued at the 14th spot after the both teams played two games.

At Ally Hassan Mwinyi in Tabora, it was goals from John Ben in the 42nd  minute and Eric Okutu in the 58th minute that elevated Tabora United to move up to the fifth position.

Tanzania Prisons scored their consolation goal through Samson Mbangula in the 70th minute.

In Dar es Salam, KMC also earned three points after defeating their opponents, JKT Tanzania 2-1  in the closely fought encounter at Uhuru Stadium.

KMC goals came from Awesu Awesu in the 39th minute and Waziri Junior added the second in the 45th minute.

The win elevated KMC to sixth position with four points in the Premier League standings.

Young Africans who have reaped 6 points with 10 goals are still on the pilot seat despite playing two games.

Azam continue  to occupy the second position also with 6 points, but they have netted  seven goals while conceding one goal.

Simba, also with six points, are third-placed. They have netted six goals and conceded two.
