TABORA: TABORA United have broken their silence to clarify speculation circulating on social media regarding the status of their head coach, Anicet Kiazmak.

In an official statement, the club dismissed reports suggesting that they had parted ways with Kiazmak, confirming instead that the coach is away for a three-week refresher course in DR Congo with the full blessing of the club’s management.

The clarification was issued yesterday by Tabora United’s Media Officer, Christina Mwagala, who strongly refuted claims of Kiazmak’s departure. “Kiazmak remains our head coach and we have no intention of parting ways with him,”

“Since our promotion, we have never had a coach as good as Kiazmak. He has led us through 14 matches and we have lost only one – against Simba. His record speaks for itself,” she added.

Mwagala also expressed the club’s disappointment with certain media outlets and social media platforms for spreading false information regarding the coach’s future.

“It is unfortunate that some media houses and social media accounts have been spreading misleading reports claiming we have dismissed Kiazmak and are in talks to sign a Zimbabwean coach. These rumours are baseless,” she noted.
