Tabora Airport gets new passenger terminal worth 27.93bn/-

TABORA: A new passenger terminal at Tabora Airport, operated by the Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA), has been completed at 27.93bn/-.

The modern facility has the capacity to serve up to 240 passengers at a time and includes offices for various departments as well as designated commercial areas.

In addition to the passenger terminal, the project involved the construction of an air traffic control tower, drainage systems, and a parking area capable of accommodating 54 vehicles simultaneously.

Regarding safety and essential services, the airport has been secured with a 6.25-kilometre perimeter fence and is equipped with a meteorological station. It also has two standby generators with capacities of 1,000KVA and 40KVA, solar lighting, and a 1,250KVA transformer.

The completion of the passenger terminal is regarded as a significant milestone in strengthening Tanzania’s aviation sector, boosting Tabora Region’s economy, and opening up new opportunities for trade and investment.
