TAA cherishes JNIA award as Leading Airport in quality services and strong safety system
DAR ES SALAAM: THE Director General of the Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA), Abdul Mombokaleo, says the authority is continuing to upgrade existing airports and construct new ones in various parts of the country as part of efforts to strengthen Tanzania’s aviation sector.
He said the improvements are also aimed at integrating airports with other modes of transport, including railways, maritime transport and roads, to facilitate the movement of people and goods and support Tanzania’s economic growth.

Commenting on the Africa’s Leading Airport award presented by the World Travel Awards to Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA), Mombokaleo said the achievement was attributed to the quality of services provided at the airport, as well as strong security and safety systems.
He added that the TAA would continue investing in airport infrastructure and improving services to enhance operational efficiency and attract more passengers to air travel.
