SuperSport partners with DStv to air all 104 FIFA World Cup matches live

DAR ES SALAAM: SUPERSPORT, in partnership with DStv, will air all 104 matches of the FIFA World Cup 2026 live. The tournament will be hosted across Mexico, Canada, and the United States of America.

The announcement was made by the company, a subsidiary of MultiChoice Group under CANAL+, noting that the move is aimed at giving African audiences full access to what is set to be the largest World Cup in football history.

According to the statement, for the first time, all DStv subscribers—from the Access package to Premium—will be able to watch every match live, including highlights and replays, significantly expanding access to the tournament.

The 2026 World Cup has been expanded from 32 to 48 teams and is scheduled to kick off on June 11, 2026, in Mexico City, with the final set for July 19, 2026, in New Jersey, making it the most extensive edition in terms of matches played.

To underscore the significance of the event, Idris Elba participated in announcing that all 104 matches will be broadcast live on DStv, highlighting Africa’s connection to the global stage.

From the African continent, a record 10 nations have qualified through the Confederation of African Football (CAF), marking the highest representation ever. These include Ghana, Senegal, Morocco, Egypt, and South Africa, among others.
