SUA to introduce Masters in Agricultural Communication and Journalism
THE Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) is finalising arrangements to introduce a Masters programme in Agricultural Communication and Journalism (MACJ), it has been disclosed.
Dr Joshua Kidudu, a Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Community Development invited journalists in the country to utilise the opportunity by applying for admission at SUA to expand their scope of knowledge.
“If all goes well, we expect to start offering the Masters programme in Agricultural Communication and Journalism (MACJ) from November, this year.
Journalists in the country are highly encouraged to utilise the opportunity by applying for admission at SUA to expand their scope of knowledge,” he said.
“Young people are key agents of change in creating a better future and have great potential to advocate on behalf of themselves and their communities. By equipping journalists with the necessary knowledge we can collectively contribute in mitigating climate change and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” he added.
Dr Kidudu disclosed the information while briefing reporters members of the Kagera Press Club (KPC) in Bukoba Municipal Council on Monday.
He explained that this was a golden opportunity not to be missed as there is no other higher institution in the country offering the Masters programme in Agricultural Communication and Journalism (MACJ).
