SINGIDA, Tanzania Singida Fountain Gate have cherished a 2-1 success over AS Vita in an international friendly match which was at a well-attended Liti Stadium in Singida on Wednesday afternoon.
The game decorated Singida Big Day which was proceeded with a number of activities lined up to entertain their fans.
Also, the day has seen Singida Fountain Gate parading their full squad to be used in the 2023/24 season with a surprise introduction of legend striker Thomas Ulimwengu.
Just three minutes into the game, Ngoma Manianga nets for AS Vita to put his side upfront beating goalkeeper Beno Kakolanya in the process.
In the 20th minute, Liti Stadium explodes into cheers as Malouf Tchakei headed home from a close range giving no chance to AS Vita goalie Puluku Kingu.
At 1-1, the hosting side looked hungry to get another one which came in the 43rd minute courtesy of new signing Dickson Ambundo who slotted in from Tchakei assist.
In her remarks, guest of honour Minister for Culture, Arts and Sports, Pindi Chana thanks AS Vita for accepting to come for the friendly match saying the gesture promotes sports diplomacy and tourism.
