Simiyu RC decorates Police officers

BARIADI: THE Regional Commissioner of Simiyu, Kenani Kihongosi, has called the Police Force to maintain their efficiency in carrying out their duties with professionalism, adhering to ethics, regulations, and the country’s laws.

The regional commissioner said the force’s efficiency helped much to maintain peace and harmony in the region as no big crime was reported in the region in recent years.

He gave these congratulations on February 22, 2025, during a ceremony to decorate certificates of appreciation and prizes to Inspectors and officers of various ranks who performed well in 2024.

During the event, which coincided with the Police Family Day celebrations in Laganga Bilili in Itilima District, Kihongosi emphasized the importance of officers continuing to work with the highest level of professionalism. He urged the award-winning officers to maintain their efforts and set a good example for their colleagues, thereby inspiring greater achievements in their work.

Additionally, Kihongosi praised the Simiyu Regional Police Commander, ACP Edith Swebe, for her excellent leadership, which has helped officers work diligently and with respect for justice.

He noted that ACP Swebe’s leadership has significantly contributed to the reduction of criminal activities in the region.

Furthermore, Kihongosi urged all police officers in Simiyu to continue collaborating with the community in maintaining peace and security. He emphasized that the achievements so far are the result of teamwork between the Police Force and the public.
