THE Chairman of Simba’s Board of Directors, Salim Abdallah, on Wednesday revealed that the club had signed a high-profile player from a prestigious club whom they will announce soon.
Abdallah alias ‘Try Again” disclosed that at Leaders Club grounds in Dar es Salaam when officiating the club’s partnership with CRDB Bank, where the bank will provide the club’s supporters with debit cards of different categories to bring fans close to their team.
“To aim high for next season to achieve the goal, we have already introduced three best players, but others are still to come…
“We have managed to sign a high-profile player from one of the well-known clubs. We will soon introduce him,” Abdallah said.
Earlier, Simba’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Imani Kajula said from today, Simba fans can visit any CRDB branch to access different debit cards introduced to them yesterday at the Leaders Club ground.
In the first category, they offered debit cards to children where their parents or guardians will manage the cards.
“In special matches of Simba, children with cards will be allowed to enter the venue and watch the game freely,” Kajula said.
He added that they have also introduced platinum cards, Simba Queen Account, and a Simba account insisting that Simba fans can visit any CRDB branch from today to open their Simba account for 2000/-.
On his part, the CRDB Managing Director Abdulmajid Nsekela encouraged Simba members and fans to make full use of the bank’s services, especially the introduced cards, as they are vital in propelling their club’s further growth.
The guest of honour at the occasion was the Deputy Speaker, Mussa Zungu, who seized the platform to encourage Simba players to double their efforts in the upcoming season.
