Simba’s duo ruled out

Simba have ruled out right backs Shomari Kapombe and Jimmyson Mwanuke ahead of their CAF Champions League second preliminary round match versus Primerio de Agosto at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Sunday.
The club’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ally speaking at a press briefing on Wednesday afternoon said the duo are nursing to injuries as such not fit for the important match.
He however reveals that Kapombe will be ready for action during the team’s next fixture after facing the Angolan side.
After clearing Angolan side hurdle at the end of this week, Simba will return to the action to face their traditional opponents match on October 23rd.
In a related development, Ally has announced the recovery of winger Peter Banda who was not part of the team’s contingent for the first leg match against the Angolan giants.
He said Banda picked the injury during the two friendly matches they played recently in Zanzibar but he is now ready to play on Sunday.
According to him, Primerio de Agosto are expected to land in the country on Friday ahead of the crucial game he describes as a must win for the Reds saying they missed to play in the group stage of Champions League.
Simba go into the game with an advantage of 3-1 away triumph they produced after the first leg encounter in Angola with Clatous Chama, Jimmyson Mwanuke and Moses Phiri on scoresheet.
