Tanzania flag bearers in CAF Champions League Simba and Young Africans have kicked off their assignments on gas pedal after registering convincing wins.
Yanga have mercilessly defeated Zalan FC of South Sudan 4-0 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam while Simba have stamped a 2-0 win over Nyasa Big Bullets at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe, Malawi.
For Yanga, their top striker Fiston Mayele has entered in record books after netting a hat-trick to his name while Feisal Salum contributed one goal to enable their side emerge heavy winners.
In Malawi, Simba have cherished goals from venom striker Moses Phiri and substitute John Bocco who scored late to seal an away clean-sheet which is vital for the Reds.
However, the envoys will be in return leg actions next weekend with Simba welcoming the Malawi side at the 60,000 capacity stadium.
