Selemani Matola

Simba has appointed Patrick Rweyemamu as Head of Youth Development Programs and Selemani Matola as Head Coach of the club’s youth teams.

In his introductory remarks on Wednesday afternoon in Dar es Salaam, Simba Chief Executive Officer Imani Kajula says the duo have potential in youth football development.

“They have done a lot to produce good players who were groomed from Simba youth programs.

“Some of them include Jonas Mkude and Said Ndemla among others who are products of our youth program,” says Kajula.

In his remarks, Rweyemamu insists that from the period of 2008 to 2015, they succeeded to groom over 250 players.

He adds that having a successful youth program will help to reduce signing of players from other teams as they will be graduating them to the senior team.

For Matola, he assures Simba management to execute a tangible job saying he has what it takes to train young players and turn them to dependable footballers.
