The victory is a good start for the newly signed Yanga Princess Head Coach Sebastian Nkoma who took charge of his first SLWPL game at the helm of the club after replacing Edna Lema.

He therefore has a big task to ensure that his side do well in most of their games in order to stand a good chance of winning the championship at the end of the marathon.

Both Simba Queens and Yanga Princess suffered defeats in their opening clashes as the former went down 2-1 to JKT Queens while the latter succumbed to a 1-0 upset from Fountain Gate Princess.
