Simba Queens to face Bayelsa Queens in Rabat on Saturday

Simba Queens will play against Bayelsa Queens of Nigeria in a third place finish match for the elapsing 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League at Stade Mouley Hassan Stadium in Rabat, Morocco on Saturday.

The duo have missed out an opportunity to venture into the finals after suffering a 1-0 upsets in their semifinal encounters.

The country’s envoys went down 1-0 to Mamelod Sundowns on Wednesday suffocating their hopes of lifting up the champions league silverware for the first time in the club’s history.

But they still have a chance to land back in Dar es Salaam with a trophy only if they manage to defeat the Nigerians.

The team’s Head Coach Charles Lukula has already encouraged his players to focus on Saturday’s match and aim to do well in order to finish in third place.

Similarly, Bayelsa Queens suffered a 1-0 defeat from hosting side AS FAR one night.

However, the finals of this year’s women’s champions league will see Mamelod Sundowns battling against AS FAR at Prince Mouley Abdellah Stadium on Sunday.
