DAR ES SALAAM: SIMBA SC and Pamba FC have each been fined 5m/- for a training ground altercation that occurred ahead of their league match at CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza.
The Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) announced the penalties yesterday, citing breaches of league regulations.
The incident took place on November 22nd, just before the two teams faced off.
Pamba FC were found to have violated league rules by interrupting Simba SC’s training session. The club’s officials were present at the stadium during Simba’s scheduled training time, leading to a confrontation that involved security personnel.
Pamba Jiji officials violated TPL Regulation 17:45 which governs training procedures for teams by interfering with Simba SC’s training session, hindering the team’s preparation for the upcoming match.
In addition to the fine, the punishment was informed by Regulation 17:62, which addresses misconduct related to match preparations.
Pamba Jiji has a history of such misconduct, including a previous incident against Tanzania Prisons FC.
