SIMBA coach Roberto Oliveira said his side is now well-balanced and ready for both domestic and international missions they will be engaged in next season.
The Msimbazi Street Reds landed home on Wednesday from Turkey where they pitched preseason drills prior to the approaching busy campaign which requires adequate preparations.
Aside from playing in domestic competitions, Simba will also parade in CAF Champions League plus in the newly introduced eight-team Africa Football League.
The inaugural fixture of the Africa Football League is slated at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on October 20th this year with Simba the only side representing East Africa bloc.
“I am satisfied with the camp, it was very positive and so far, I have two groups of players. The first group is for the players who began the camp early and is in excellent condition,
The second group is for the players who joined the camp late hence they need more time to train and be at the same level of performance with their colleagues,” Oliveira said.
He continued: “The most important thing is that we have a good balance in the team such that when one player is injured, you can use the other who can give the same performance as the one who is injured, this is very important. My objective is good performance… sometimes I can use Sadio Kanoute, sometimes I can use Fabrice Ngoma or I can feature Clatous Chama or Essomba Onana, they are all of the same level,” he said proudly.
Moreover, the Brazilian trainer reiterated that their objective is to win titles and that they will respect every opponent who comes their way domestically or internationally.
He also gave credit to his technical bench members insisting that they are all well qualified such that they will play a big role in pushing for Simba’s success next season.
Meanwhile, the club’s members and fans continue to do various social activities ahead of the climax of Simba Day scheduled on Sunday at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in the city.
On the day, the club will unveil its full squad for the next term and above all, they will test their acquired arsenals by playing a friendly match versus Power Dynamos of Zambia.
This will be a platform for the Simba fraternity to have a glimpse of their team before the commencement of major competitions.
