Simba glitz as league nets 260

AS the Premier League takes a pause, 260 goals have been netted with Simba leading the chart with 31 goals from their 15-game onslaught.
This simply shows that the Msimbazi Street Reds had the best goal festival to their fans while also parading the best defence system as they have conceded only 7 goals.
Their traditional rivals, Young Africans have taken the second place with 27 goals while letting in eight goals in the process.
Azam are placed third after scoring 22 goals, but they have conceded 13 goals signifying that their defence is slightly porous, hence requires to be fixed before the start of the second round.
On fourth place are Mtibwa Sugar who have converted 21 goals, but they have seen their net shaken 25 times to become the first team with the highest number of conceded goals at the end of the first round.
Mbeya City have pumped in 20 goals and accepted 18 goals behind their net to complete a five- best team package.
In terms of more points gathered, Yanga have seized the show with 38 points as they command the Premier League table with three points clear hence a big milestone made in their quest to defend the championship.

Debutants Singida Big Stars have done well so far by pocketing 27 points courtesy of eight wins, three draws and four defeats that enable them to accommodate the fourth place.
Handed a fifth place are Geita Gold who have collected 22 points from five wins, seven draws and three losses as they seek to maintain the same performance in the second round.
Occupying the middle positions on the table with their positions in brackets are Mtibwa Sugar (6th), Kagera Sugar (7th), Mbeya City (8th), Namungo (9th) and KMC (10th) which have generated 22 points, 21 points, 20 points, 18 points and 16 points respectively.
At this juncture, the base of the table is occupied by Polisi Tanzania who have just managed 9 points from 15 matches.
They have won two encounters, drawn three and lost ten fixtures, hence they need to come stronger in the second round.
Ruvu Shooting and Ihefu occupy the 15th and 14th slots with 11 points apiece whereas Dodoma Jiji, Coastal Union and Tanzania Prisons have each annexed 15 points to cover the 13th, 12th and 11th places respectively.
