DAR ES SALAAM: After an unsuccessful Cairo operation, Simba safely landed back home Wednesday afternoon.
The Reds farewelled the African Football League (AFL) on away goal rules despite claiming a 3-3 aggregate draw with Al Ahly.
They are the only side to exit the newly framed tournament without conceding defeat after a 2-2 home draw and a 1-1 away draw.
Up next, Simba will welcome Ihefu in the Premier League match at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Saturday.
So far, the Msimbazi street side are the only team yet to lose or draw in the ongoing campaign.
A win on Saturday will stretch their unbeaten run to six games.
Meanwhile, Al Ahly will face Mamelodi Sundowns in the AFL semi-finals as the latter outclassed Petro de Luanda 2-0 on aggregate.
