SIMBA 1-1 NAMUNGO: Lusajo scores opener, Baleke equalises
DAR ES SALAAM: Simba have settled a 1-1 draw against Namungo FC in their eighth match of the season.
The game at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Thursday afternoon has enabled the duo to share spoils.
Reliants Lusajo put Namungo upfront in the 28th minute before Jean Baleke balanced the equation in the 75th minute.
With the outcome, the Reds have accumulated 19 points similar to Azam but the former sit on 3rd slot courtesy of goal difference.
The Southern Killers continue to accommodate 12th place with 8 points in the bag.
“We had a big chance to win the match but a 1-1 draw is not bad either,” says Namungo coach Denis Kitambi.
Simba’s caretaker coach Daniel Cadena says they will have to work hard to do well in their next league fixture.
