“We have an important, difficult competition: Super League and domestic competitions. I believe in my players and their levels. I aim to ensure good performance as Simba SC is a big club and I respect my players, fans and the club too much.

“We are here to win and play nice football; that’s our objective.”

Commenting on the pre-season camp, the Brazilian trainer briefed the press in the first week of their training session to improve the players’ physique condition and aerobic training.

“We must have three weeks of training to prepare our team well.

“In the first week, we prioritise improving players’ physique conditions, aerobic training and technical training.”

He confirmed they will have at least three friendly games in the second and third weeks.

“In the second and third weeks, we have three friendly games. Giving each player opportunity is important and deciding on the final first eleven is important.

“I believe in God; I believe in my Capacity and the players I have.”

Simba’s fullback Mohammed Hussein, who recently renewed his contract with the club, noted he hopes the pre-season camp will bore fruit.

“When we arrive in Türkiye, we shall have the opportunity to build a solid team and make a collective objective of a successful 2023/24 season.

“The camp is also an opportunity to build partnership among players, especially the newly signed players.”
