Seabourn Sojourn: Luxurious cruise ship with 700 people docks at Dar Port 

A Royal Tour documentary, featuring President Samia Suluhu Hassan, continues to play a pivotal role in Tanzania’s tourism sector as the Seabourn Sojourn, a luxury cruise ship carrying over 700 people docks at Dar es Salaam Port early on Monday.

According to details from the Dar es Salaam Port, out of the 715 people, 363 are tourists who have visited different places in Dar es Salaam early on Monday.

The remaining 352 people are the crew members of the luxurious vessel.
Upon their arrival in Dar es Salaam, the tourists visited different historical places including National Museum, Makumbusho Village, Tingatinga Art Gallery and Marketplace and Mnazi Mmoja grounds.

About the Vessel

According to Windwand website, the Seabourn Sojourn was ordered in November 2008.

It is said that the luxurious vessel has a length of 198 meters and a beam of 25.60 meters. The draft is 6.40 meters; the ship is divided into 11 passenger decks and has a capacity of 450. There are 225 staterooms.

“The gross tonnage of the ship is 32,346. The Sojourn as well as its two other sister ships the Seabourn Odyssey and the Seabourn Quest were designed by Bjorn Storbraaten of Yran & Storbraaten Architects AS, of Oslo, Norway,” the website adds.
