Samia to join other leaders at Ruto’s inauguration ceremony

President Samia Suluhu is expected to join other regional leaders at a swearing ceremony of newly elected President of Kenya, Dr William Ruto in Nairobi on Tuesday.
A statement issued on Monday evening by the Director of Presidential Communications, Zuhura Yunus stated the Head of State will be accompanied by other top governmental officials.
Governmental leaders who will be at the event, according to the statement, are Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Liberata Mulamula, Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Ashantu Kijaji and Minister in the First Vice-President’s Office from the Isles, Mr Harusi Said Suleiman.
Mr William Ruto was declared as the new President-elect of Kenya on the 15th of August where his rival, Raila Odinga filed a petition to protest the result.
However, the Supreme Court dismissed the petition and declared Ruto as the President-elect.
