DAR ES SALAAM: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan is expected to bless the special fundraising dinner for TAMPRO WAQFU House construction to be held in Dar es Salaam tomorrow, August 30th, 2025.

Confirming this to the Daily News Digital, the Chairman of Tanzania Muslim Professionals Association (TAMPRO), Mr Amir Hajji Mrisho Rubibi, said everything is in place for the big event to take off successfully.

“We have crafted the project to construct a multi-purpose 12-floor TAMPRO WAQFU House at Magomeni in Dar es Salaam, which is set to cost approximately 6bn/-.

“This building, once completed, will not only be used as an economic generator of the association, but also serve muslim and non-muslim communities in numerous ways.

“Among others, it will have conference rooms, workshop rooms, training rooms, classrooms as well as a modern Mosque,” he says.

He further elaborates that much of the proceeds to be produced will be given back to the community through various charity programs that the association undertakes.

“Through this fundraising event, which is timed from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm,  we are targeting to raise 1bn/- to be used as a starter for the construction exercise, hence we urge people to contribute generously.
