“I was told that the inspection of infrastructure ended and we have the ability to host the competition…as such, we should be ready,” she said.

Moreover, President Samia called upon the sports fraternity to always preserve available infrastructures saying it is one of the criteria demanded by CAF.

In addition, President Samia wished well four envoys that will represent the country in the upcoming CAF Interclub Games (Simba, Young Africans, Azam and Singida Fountain Gate).

“When it comes to international competitions, we should always be united and I want to reiterate here that my pledge of buying each goal to be scored in CAF matches remains unchanged,” she said.

In another development, the president acknowledged Kilimanjaro Queens for claiming the CECAFA Under-18 Women’s Championship following a 1-0 win over Uganda.

“Even Tembo Warriors and Serengeti Girls have managed to put the country on the world map after doing well in world cup competitions they competed including Yanga who reached the confederation cup finals last season,” she said.
