Samia sends condolences to Shinyanga RC for the 25 victims of mine accident

DAR ES SALAAM: President Samia Suluhu Hassan has sent her condolences to the Regional Commissioner of Shinyanga, Mboni Mhita, following a tragic incident that occurred at a mine located in Shinyanga Rural District.

In a statement shared on her social media platforms, President Samia said:

“I have received with great sadness the news of the tragedy that occurred at the Nyandolwa Mine in Mwenge Ward, Shinyanga Region, where 25 of our fellow citizens working at the mine were buried under rubble.

I have directed the Prime Minister’s Office and the security forces to provide immediate assistance and to work in collaboration with the Fire and Rescue Force to expedite the ongoing rescue operation.

Let us continue to pray to Almighty God to grant a quick recovery to the injured, and to give patience and strength to the families, friends, and loved ones of all those affected by this tragedy.”
