Samia Suluhu Hassan, the President of Tanzania, has revoked the appointment of Sumbawanga District Commissioner Jane Nyamsenda.
Consequently, Mr Sixtus Mapunda has been appointed to fill Ms Nyamsenda’s void, a State House statement issued on Thursday evening says.
“The United Republican of Tanzania President Honourable Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed Mr Sixtus Mapunda as the Sumbawanga District Commissioner.
“Mr Mapunda is replacing Ms Jane Nyamsenda whose appointment has been revoked,” the four-line statement says.
Mapunda’s appointment starts with immediate effect.
