Samia inaugurates new Judiciary Headquarters

DODOMA: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has officially inaugurated the new Judiciary Headquarters of Tanzania.
A landmark nine-storey building ranks as the sixth largest judicial structure in the world and first in Africa.
Located in the nation’s capital, Dodoma, the state-of-the-art facility spans 63,244 square metres and was fully funded by taxpayers for 129.7bn/-.

The Head of State also launched two other judiciary-related projects — the new six-storey headquarters of the Judicial Service Commission, which has been constructed at a cost of 14.3bn/-, and 48 modern residential apartments for judges, worth 42.3bn/-.
The newly inaugurated headquarters houses the three highest branches of the Judiciary in Tanzania — the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal and the High Court — with administrative offices strategically positioned at the centre of the facility.
