RPF, NRM commit to building prosperous Africa
RWANDA Patriotic Front (RPF) and Uganda’s National Resistance Movement (NRM) have retaliated their commitment to cooperate with Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) in consolidating the efforts of building prosperous Africa.
Giving a message of solidarity on Wednesday during the 10th CCM National Congress held in Dodoma, a representative of RPF Mr Christophe Bazivamo said that his party would continue sustaining and consolidating the relationship with CCM.
“Let me take this opportunity to express the Rwandan Patriotic Front’s (RPF ) commitment to sustaining and consolidating our excellence relationship with Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) in building the Africa we all deserve ,” he said .
Mr Bazivamo further added that “RPF and CCM continue to enjoy bilateral relationship that originated from long time historical friendship between these two parties.
In particular, RPF representative said “in this move Rwanda has already adopted Kiswahili language as one of the official languages “
He also insisted that it is important to recognize the legacy left behind by the African great leader, the father of the nation Mwalimu Julius Nyerere in liberation movements of the African countries.
He further commended CCM for the invitation extended to the party to attend the 10th CCM National Congress while lauding the Tanzanians for good reception.
Commenting during the event, National Resistance Movement (NRM) party representative from Uganda Mr Richard Todwong stressed that his country and Tanzania shares the number of things.
He said above all Uganda recognises the foundation that Mwalimu Nyerere gave to NRM and President Yoweri Museven during the liberation struggle in Uganda.
“We also thank the hospitality of the people of Tanzania that when we were struggling to stabilize our country in early 1970s when president Idi Amin overthrow President Milton Obote Tanzania welcomed President Obote and gave him a home “he said .
The NRM party representative further said “the foundation of National Resistance Movement party in Uganda cannot and shall never be spoken about without reference to Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM)
“As the party we shall commit to deepen and strengthen our relationship …we feel we should be closer and learn more than before from CCM and Tanzania in genera he said.
