EWURA attributed the new changes to a decrease in the prices of refined petroleum products in the global market.

The average price of petrol dropped by 11.82 percent, diesel 7.77 percent and kerosene 7.94 percent. The authority maintained, however, that the average costs of foreign exchange rates have increased by 1.4 percent.

According to Ewura, a decrease in importation costs (premiums) by an average of 2.06 percent for petrol and 8.51 percent for diesel at the Dar es Salaam Port also affected the price.
