RC Dendego: Turn out enmasse to vote

SINGIDA: WITH just one day remaining before the General Election, Singida Regional Commissioner, Ms Halima Dendego has called on all eligible residents to turn out in large numbers tomorrow and cast their votes for the leaders they trust.

Addressing journalists yesterday Ms Dendego stressed that voting is a fundamental democratic right that must be exercised responsibly for the nation’s future.

“My fellow citizens, voting is our constitutional right. Let us seize this crucial opportunity to choose leaders who will steer our development over the next five years,” she urged.

She assured voters that security measures have been strengthened across the region to ensure a peaceful electoral process.

“Our security personnel are fully prepared in every location. I especially encourage women to come out confidently and vote. Heads of households should also motivate all eligible family members to participate,” Ms Dendego added.

She thanked government leaders, religious institutions, organisations and citizens for maintaining peace and urged everyone to continue upholding this spirit during and after the elections.

Ms Dendego confirmed that preparations at all 2,843 polling stations designated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are 100 per cent complete.
