Qatar extends humanitarian aid to victims of Hanang landslide

KILIMANJARO: THE Qatar government has given humanitarian aid to the government to support victims of a landslide disaster in Hanang District, Manyara Region.

The handover took place at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) over the weekend, between Qatar Ambassador to Tanzania, Fahad Al Marekhi and the Deputy Minister, Prime Minister’s Office (Policy, Parliamentary Affairs & Coordination), Ummy Nderiananga.

Speaking after handing over the aid to the Deputy Minister, Ambassador AlMarekhi said that the humanitarian aid provided by the government of Qatar included food and sanitary equipment for women.

“We hope this humanitarian aid will touch the lives of the people of Hanang, who were affected by the landslide disaster,” said Al-Marekhi.
