Puma Energy celebrates workforce behind 100-station growth

DAR ES SALAAM: PUMA Energy Tanzania has brought its employees together in Dar es Salaam for a Team Building Day to celebrate the company’s 100th retail service station milestone and recognise the contribution of its workforce to sustaining its position as Tanzania’s leading oil marketing company for four consecutive years, while looking ahead to its next phase.
The Team Building Day brought employees from across the business together for activities focused on teamwork, collaboration and engagement. It also provided an opportunity to recognise the collective effort behind the company’s progress and strengthen relationships between teams.
The milestone marks an important step in the growth of Puma Energy Tanzania’s retail network and comes alongside the company’s continued recognition as a market leader in Tanzania’s fuel market. EWURA has recognised Puma Energy as the leading oil marketing company in the country for four consecutive years.
For Puma Energy Tanzania, the 100-station milestone represents more than the expansion of its retail network. It reflects the contribution of employees across different functions whose work supports the company’s operations and its ability to serve customers across the country.
Speaking at the event, Puma Energy Tanzania Managing Director, Fatma Abdallah, said:
“Reaching 100 retail service stations is an important milestone for our business, but it is also a reflection of the people behind that growth. Our progress has been made possible by the commitment and teamwork of employees across the organisation. Today is an opportunity to celebrate that contribution, strengthen our connections and look ahead to what we can achieve together.”
The event reflects Puma Energy Tanzania’s broader focus on creating a workplace where employees can connect, collaborate and contribute to the company’s objectives. The company recognises that effective teamwork across functions is important to maintaining smooth operations and delivering consistent service to customers.
The EWURA recognition comes as Puma Energy Tanzania continues to operate across several areas of Tanzania’s energy sector, including retail, commercial fuels, aviation, lubricants, and low-carbon and clean-energy activities.
Alongside celebrating the company’s achievements, management used the Team Building Day to engage employees on the business’s priorities for its next phase. The engagement provided employees with an opportunity to understand the broader direction of the company and the role they will play in delivering its priorities.
“As we celebrate reaching 100 stations, we also recognise that every milestone brings new responsibilities. Our focus now is on building on this progress, working even more closely as one team and continuing to serve our customers effectively. Our people remain central to that journey,” said Fatma Abdallah.
The Team Building Day concluded with employees coming together to celebrate the milestone and strengthen the shared sense of purpose that will support Puma Energy Tanzania as it enters its next phase.
