Public invited to comment on proposed Bills

DODOMA: THE public has been invited to submit views on several bills and regulations that will be scrutinised by three Parliamentary Standing Committees during public hearings scheduled to begin in Dodoma on August 7.

According to a statement issued yesterday by the Parliament’s Communication and Public Education Unit, the hearings will be held at the Parliamentary Offices in Dodoma, giving stakeholders an opportunity to contribute before the proposed laws proceed to the next stage.

The statement states that the Subsidiary Legislation Committee will receive views on the Fertiliser Regulations, Government Notice No 68 of 2026, on August 7 in Room No 37 of the Small Administration Building.

The Governance, Constitution and Legal Affairs Committee will, on August 12, receive views on the Written Laws (Miscellaneous Amendments) (No 2) Bill, 2026, at Frank Mfundo Hall on the fifth floor of the Main Administration Building.

Meanwhile, the Industries, Trade, Agriculture and Livestock Committee will hear stakeholders’ views on the Agricultural (Amendments) Bill, 2026 and the Pyrethrum Industry (Repeal) Bill, 2026, during sessions on August 12 and 13 at Msekwa Hall D in the Pius Msekwa Building.

“Given the importance of these regulations and Bills, the committees invite all stakeholders to attend the meetings and submit their views before they proceed to the next stage,” the statement reads in part.

The hearings are scheduled to begin at 10:00 am on each of the designated dates.

Stakeholders who are unable to attend may also submit their views by post through the Parliamentary Office or electronically via the email addresses cna@ bunge.go.tz and kamati@ bunge.go.tz, according to the statement.
