Prof. Lotto named IMF new Rector

The Minister of Finance and Planning, Dr Mwigulu Nchemba has appointed Prof Josephat Lotto as the Rector of the Institute of Finance Management (IFM).

A statement issued on Saturday and published in the government newspaper, Daily News by the Public Relations Unit of IFM stated that Prof Lotto’s appointment will be effective from January 1, 2023 for a period of five years.

Mr Lotto is an Associate Professor of Finance and a renowned researcher in Corporate Governance and Financial strategies.

Prior to his appointment he was serving as the Director of Postgraduate, Research and Consultancy at the Institute of Finance Management (IFM); a position he held from February 2017.

He has also authored over 50 papers in both local and internationally recognized academic journals published by highly reputable publishing houses such as Wiley&Sons, Taylor&Francis Group, Emerald and Elsevier.

In addition the Professor provides advisory services in Risk Management, M&E and Policy issues to a number of clients in both public and private sector.
