President’s message as standard VII pupils begin final exams today
DAR ES SALAAM: President Samia Suluhu Hassan has extended her best wishes to all Standard VII candidates who began their final examinations today, while promising to improve the education environment in the country to help students achieve their dreams.
The Head of State shared her message through her X account (formerly Twitter), pledging to continue providing a conducive educational environment to enable students to achieve their goals in life and contribute to the country’s development in the future.
“My promise to you on your educational and life journey includes the following, which are already being implemented: securing a place for each of you in the various schools where you will be selected to join Form One in 2025, four years of O-Level and two additional years of A-Level education without fees,” the President assured.

Additionally, she stated that the government will ensure the availability of technical colleges in each district for those who wish to pursue college education, as well as loans for those who succeed in gaining university admission.
“All these efforts will go hand in hand with improvements to our economic policies, so more opportunities can be created for each of you as you grow and enter the workforce,” she added.
Today, a total of 1,230,780 candidates sat for their Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE), which is scheduled to last two days, concluding on Thursday, September 12, 2024.
