President to open TPBA conference in Arusha today

ARUSHA: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan is today expected to undertake a one-day visit to Arusha Region, where she will officiate the opening of the Tanzania Public Bar Association (TPBA) conference.

Arusha Regional Commissioner, Amos Makalla told reporters yesterday that preparations for the President’s visit and the two-day conference have been completed, with the region ready to welcome the Head of State.

“All preparations for the visit of President Samia Suluhu Hassan and the conference have been completed. Arusha is fully prepared to receive the President and ensure that all activities take place successfully,” said Mr Makalla.

He said President Samia will officially open the conference, which brings together government attorneys from across the country to discuss issues related to the legal profession, justice administration and the development of the legal sector.

“The conference provides an important platform for government attorneys to exchange ideas, discuss professional matters and explore ways of strengthening the legal sector,” he said.

Mr Makalla called on Arusha residents to cooperate with authorities to ensure the President’s visit and conference activities are conducted in a peaceful and secure environment.
